Spiritual Formation

The ongoing spiritual formation of church members, lay and ordained, has always been an important aspect of the life of the church. In our baptism, we are reminded of our new birth in the life of the Spirit. The ongoing work of God Creator forms us inwardly as disciples of Jesus Christ. The people of God continue to be formed spiritually.

Exploration, development and articulation of Christian spiritual practice is vital in fostering dialogue with the growing interest in spirituality in Australian popular culture. The Centre for Theology and Ministry offer programs, which seek to support spiritual formation.

Joan Wright Howie is the Spiritual Formation Advisor for the CTM and has a specific focus in developing the spiritual formation life of the church.
