Lay education
Equipping the whole people of God for ministry and mission. Lay Education provides training for Elders, Church Councillors and people wanting to grow in their understanding of their faith.
Lay Education provides information for people in the Period of Discernment; initial and continuing education for Lay Preachers.
Workshops are available for Lay Worship teams, and Intensives offered in conjunction with Continuing Education for Resource Ministers.

Lay Preacher Formation Weekend
22-23 August 2009
The Lay Preacher Formation Weekend is part of the educational requirement for candidates seeking accreditation as a Lay Preacher, normally taken at or towards the end of the study programme. It is open to current candidates and those intending to apply to be candidates. The focus will be primarily on the Uniting Church component of your identity as an accredited Lay Preacher.

Who is Jesus Intensive
Faith Maps Intensives offer introductory level study in four foundational theological study areas: New Testament, Old Testament, Uniting Church Theology and Theology of Jesus Christ (Christology). They also include some basic ministerial skills, particularly in worship leadership and preaching. Completion of these four intensives at a satisfactory level will meet the study requirements for Lay Preacher accreditation.
