Maclean House, an affordable home away from home
Maclean House is an exceptionally affordable accommodation option for your trip to Melbourne. It is provided to the Uniting Church community by the Centre for Theology & Ministry and is located beside the Centre in the picturesque grounds of Ormond College, Parkville.
The House is conveniently located just north of the Melbourne CBD, readily accessible via tram, with the renowned Lygon St restaurant precinct only a short stroll away, providing plenty of dining choices for your trip.
And your stay doesn’t need to be all about business. Melbourne is Australia’s sporting capital, a leader in arts, festivals and cultural events, so why not make Maclean House the centre of your next trip to Melbourne and discover what the city holds in store for you?
Maclean House provides a range of comfortable double and twin share rooms over two levels. It is disability-friendly, with three bedrooms and a wheelchair accessible bathroom located on the ground floor, along with the living room and kitchen. Ramp entry is available at the rear of the building. Please let us know when booking if you require a ground floor room.
All linen is included, there’s on-site parking, a self-serve light breakfast, comfortable living room and desks in every room, while free wi-fi makes studying or planning your stay an absolute breeze. Other facilities include shared bathrooms, kitchen and laundry facilities – all at the exceptional value of $65 and $85 twin share. Discounts are available for longer stays.

When you arrive at the Centre for Theology & Ministry please park near the entrance to the car park and visit the reception area for check-in, where you’ll receive your key and car park pass.
Check-in is available after 2pm, and check-out is 11am.
