Communities of Practice

New strategy for serving churches and mission partners

The Victorian Council of Christian Education (VCCE), supported by the Centre for Theology & Ministry and the Victorian Children’s Ministry Network, is initiating a new strategy for serving churches and mission partners that incorporates mentoring, support and professional development  for those engaged in ministry with children and their families through a network of Communities of Practice.

To express your interest and/or find out more, go to Join the Dots or  email chris.barnett@ctm.uca.edu.au.

Based on a Community of Practice model, each group will include around eight leaders and focus on a particular area of interest (eg. missional expressions, intergenerational engagement, Messy Church, Playgroup/Pre-school, Children & Families ministry practice). Each geographically focused Community of Practice will initially meet fortnightly for six sessions and be facilitated by Beth Barnett from the VCCE.
