Ferment and Renewal: The Missional Church Today (2/2)

Ferment and Renewal examines this question especially in relation to the missionary shape of the church. This course looks at the early formulation of the concept in 1910 and how this developed through the twentieth century. It looks at the changing shape of western societies, including such forces as secularisation and religious pluralism. It concludes with some positive theological responses including Fresh Expressions and the Mission Shaped Church. The goal is to develop a robust and positive theological ground and so stimulating a missionary community which might be a joyful witness in our neighbourhood, pointing to the peace and love of God revealed in Jesus Christ.
