There will be a whole bunch of UCA people there. To connect with and to stay with other UCA people attending and to get our group discount, use this code – nymc17-uca5917. UCA people will be staying onsite at Seaworld so book in accommodation there!
As you may be aware, one of the ways the Centre for Theology & Ministry provides support to those engaged in ministry with youth and young adults across the Synod is through the provision of funding to attend training events. To assist in funding your participation at NYMC17, you might like to apply for financial support from the CTM. Should your application be successful, you will be required to write a short reflection after the conference that expresses some of your learning, insights and possible next steps in your ministry that we will be able to publish and share with other people.
To actually apply for a grant, go to funding opportunities area of the site and download the application form for Funding. Complete and return the form asap (noting that there is a section for your minister/church council to indicate their support), your application may be considered more favourably if there is an indication of financial support from your congregation. If you have any questions about NYMC, this application process or any other professional development opportunities you are considering, please feel contact the CTM.
Jeff Savage is a minister in Hobart who is going to NYMC and is happy to help connect with people across VicTas and answer any specific questions about the program.
