At the Melbourne One World WonTok Conference students will:
- Participate in highly interactive learning activities that raise awareness about the causes of poverty
- Learn how the global community has agreed to address these causes through new Sustainable Development Goals
- Be required to think critically and exercise problem solving skills as they discuss and evaluate certain challenges throughout the day
- Engage with a special guest from Fiji, Rev James Bhagwan, who will speak about the impact of climate change on the lives of communities in the Pacific. Given James’s role working with Pacific communities on the front lines of climate change this will be a valuable presentation.
Morning Tea will be provided for all participants however students are requested to bring their own lunch and drink bottle. Lunch and morning tea will be provided for staff accompanying students on the day.
