Are you wanting to deepen your approach to preaching or teaching the Psalms in your ministry?  Or maybe you rare preach on the psalms at all because you don’t feel equipped enough? Perhaps you are leading a community through some particularly difficult time – how might the psalms be a resource in your pastoral care and preaching? This unit will support your practice of ministry by deepening your understanding of the biblical text and their pastoral, visionary power.

The Lectionary Year of Luke is fast approaching.  Are you a minister looking to refresh your understanding and approach to this gospel? Pilgrim College and eLM are offering you an opportunity to enrol as an audit student (or for credit) in an intensive unit; to gather with colleagues as you delve deep into Luke – beginning with the infancy narratives in time for Advent, continuing in February in time for Lent and concluding in March. Parallel workshops will be offered for ministers keen to focus on the themes of Luke as they might be borne out in preaching and liturgy.

A unique Continuing Education opportunity from Pilgrim Theological College at the NGV:

Do you use art as a way of engaging your community/congregation in liturgy or preaching and teaching? Or would you like to use art more readily to enhance your church’s life and witness, but are not confident in how to do this?  Art is a powerful medium through which to understand both our surrounding culture and the faith of the church, and how those aspects relate to each other.

(Classes Thursdays 1- 5pm on May 2, 9, 16, 23, Sept 5, 12 & Oct 17)
