Financial Support Provided for Yurora NCYC17

Empowering learning and discipleship

We know attending Yuróra raised the passion, deepen the discipleship, and energise the faith of young people by putting their faith into action in the world. Yuróra does means ‘passionate’ after all.

To encourage and enable young people who otherwise may not be able to attend, UCA Youth and the Centre for Theology and Ministry (CTM) are provided a limited number of $500 grants for NCYC 2017 participants who were ready to jump in to an amazing 5-day festival experience at Stanwell Tops NSW from 8-12 January 2017.

UCA Youth and the CTM will prioritised financial support for young people from CALD communities and those who otherwise would not be able to participate in this national gathering of Uniting Church youth and young adults. This approach was in line with the Synod’s strategic priorities for 2016–2022: foster diverse gathered communities of renewal, Christian practice and mission; culturally diverse mission and ministry; and mission and ministry with children, youth, their families and young adults.
