About Age (Discipleship Educator Young Adults)
When I was in year 11 my art teacher called a meeting with my mum.
He told her “Adrian does not conform well.” My mum (who is a wearable artist) replied “It’s art, isn’t that the whole idea?”
I have always wanted more. Not always just more stuff like most western bods. But more meaning in churches, more sense from theology, more humanity from governments, more belonging in communities, more faith in decision making, more compassion in evangelism, more gospel in justice, more authentic connections to God – basically a more interconnected faith lived out in action – morepraxis.
I live in Melbourne with my wife Lyndal, son James, twin girls Jasmine and Chloe and a big dog ‘Jamy’. I like creativity and fun, I enjoy finding cool ways to use multimedia and pushing my ibook to destruction, also I enjoy coffee, red wine and food with friends.
Study wise I turned down sculpture at the school of art to study Christian Welfare, then completed a Bachelor of Theology majoring in Missions and Theology, more recently a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and continue studying by distance education. Also, I have been involved in youth and young adult ministry for years with experience in a wide variety of settings including congregational, chaplaincy, schools work, street work, camping, alt worship, counselling and regional work.
